"I WAS BORN" is set to be released October 23, 2018, in all digital stores. The album was a previously unreleased record recorded three years ago at Lord Huron's "WHISPERING PINES" studios in Los Angeles. The release is now back to its first original cut and intention mixed by Rick Parker (Lord Huron, BRMC etc) and co-produced by Macht and Justin Tocket (Anders Osbourne, Pet Fangs) with Rob Humphreys (Percussion), Tyler Carroll (Bass), Will Herrington (Keys), Ken Belcher (Lead Guitars).
The songs all seamlessly wind into each other like the records Macht loved growing up. They traverse destructive anxieties and impassioned optimism. Each song, track by track, while running into each other, is a flip side perspective of the song that came before it, reflecting the two sides of every coin Macht continues to battle.
"This was my most honest dive into what comes out of me when I'm trying to push away self-criticism and self-doubt, and allow flow and all I can muster in honest giving… and let that be enough. This experience of music creation and songwriting was the pinnacle of my own sense of music freedom with the resources of these generous players and musicians who helped me along the way. I wanted to finally release this record because it originally came from my heart unbounded, and I and it lost its way."

I Accept Your Doubt
The record like its thematic motifs had an up and down story towards its release. Originally, it was signed by a little indie label in Los Angeles, and after back-n-forths about the strategy to its release, Macht asked to release it independently after not coming eye to eye on the process with the label. In all the time it took to get ownership of the record back, Macht had moved on creatively with his RACE THE TIDE EP project and the record got put on the back burner. Jesse has come back around with some space and a newfound love for it. We have decided to get it out to the world in its original recorded form.
